After a recent viral illness, the parent of an employee began presenting sudden paralysis. After collapsing on the golf course, he was transported to a local hospital and transferred to a top neurology institution. The paralysis progressed to his mid-spine. MRI scans revealed extensive lesions from T1–T7 with patchy enhancements, as well as subcortical lesions throughout the brain.
